We are a brand new festival created by the team behind the BAFTA Short Film and BAFTA Cymru qualifying Carmarthen Bay Film Festival

We aim to celebrate the very best of today's contentcreators, programme and media makers, media-related and documentary photography, and writing talent both here in Wales and around the world.  

It is the ideal opportunity to network and rub shoulderswith the right people, the ones that matter—experienced practitioners andeducators in their field. These people know what they're talking about.  

IMF of Wales is delivered in partnership with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, and the two-day festival will include networking opportunities, an immersive experience, and hands-on workshops with the latest camera equipment.

The International Media Festival of Wales is brought to you by Carmarthen Bay Film Festival - a team with over twelve years experience running film festivals and a passion for supporting independent media.

Since the first festival in 2012, CBFF has gone from 35 submissions to over 1000 in 2020 from 74 different countries around the globe. Not only have the submissions increased over the years, but the number of filmmakers and festival patrons attending has as well with filmmakers flying in from the US, Australia, Holland, Italy, France and many parts of the UK to attend.
